Sahana is a free and open source Disaster Management System.It mainly facilitates management of Missing people,
disaster victims, Managing and administrating various organisations, managing camps and managing requests and 
assistance in the proper distribution of resources.

Requirements:
    o php 4.3 or later
    o MySQL 4.1 or later
    o Apache web server 1.3 or later
    o latest php4-gd libs

Download:
    
    o Download latest Sahana release,
        
        http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=127855

    o In order to get Sahana on Debian GNU/Linux or based distro 
      (like Ubuntu, Knoppix, Mepis, etc.) can add following to their 
      /etc/apt/sources.list,

        deb http://sahana.lk/apt stable main

      and do,

        apt-get update && apt-get install sahana
      
      to upgrade from sahana old version to new version,

        apt-get upgrade
        
        
Install:

    Please see the INSTALL file.

    Sahana is developed through distributed development environment. Therefore e-mail is
    a preferred way to discuss various items. Most of the conversation regarding development of Sahana
    is managed through "sahana-maindev" mailinglist.
